Lake Villa's seventh annual Civil War reenactment on September 19-20th, 2009 was sponsored by the Lake Villa Historical Society at Longwood Centre Park.  The event hosted hundreds of costumed Civil War re-enactors who embody the character of real or imagined people of that era.  This year's Lehmann Mansion tour featured an exhibit of Civil War paintings by June-Marie.  (Lake County News-Sun published an interview with the artist in which she discusses the event and her paintings.)  Lehmaan Mansion is located at 485 N Milwaukee Ave, Lake Villa, IL 60046.  For details on the upcoming 2010 event, which will also include work's by June-Marie, please visit the Lake Villa Historical Society's website.
